If you need to do any changes that would require some level of modification and would be more than what our settings allow, the best way is use a child theme. This way, you get the ability to modify and add functionality to the theme without changing any of its code directly. This is very important since you don’t loose the possibility to update the theme without losing your changes.
What is a Child Theme
A child theme is a theme that inherits the functionality and styling of another theme, called the parent theme. Child themes are the recommended way of modifying an existing theme. In this case our Child Theme would inherit functionality and styling from Reda WordPress.
Installing the Child Theme
There is a Child Theme included in our theme pack, simply upload it to your WordPress and Activate it.
Editing the Child Theme
Once activated, you can start editing the style.css and function.php files to make changes to your site. You can edit those files through the Appearance Editor Screen or using a FTP client.
